CME - 2010

Christmas Musical Evangelism - 2010.

From Nov 24-30, 2010, we plan to hold a 7 day full time evangelistic campaign in Bangalore. For the first time, we go out as a team to sing for people at Restaurants, hotels, malls and colleges. The idea is to get people to hear the gospel as we hand out "Christmas Cards" which have the gospel in it's simplicity. What's more? As hearts open up according to God's plan, there will be questions, 1-on-1s, discipleship and exciting time as the team gears up to see our dear and powerful Lord Jesus Christ at work. Join us in prayer and stay tuned to get more updates on this front.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? - Romans 10:14

Open Door update 25 Oct 2010

Thank God for Sunil. He asked the Lord to open a door to share the Word of God to someone today (21-10-2010). God opened the door to reach Bidya lakshmi who is from Manipur and works with him in the same company. She showed interest to know about the Savior Lord Jesus Christ and Sunil did not hesitate to share the Gospel to this girl. He immediately gave her the good news. After knowing about the Saviour, Bidya Lakshmi desired to be with the Lord seeking eternal life after her physical death.

Well, she heard the gospel, but she has not yet opened her heart to the Lord.

I would request you all to pray for Bidyla Lakshmi. We hope that she opens the door for the Savior Lord Jesus Christ.

Open door update - 18th Aug

Iasis Spa & Salon

In the afternoon time today, Bro Alyson invited us to share the gospel with the girls that work at Iasis Spa. This place is run by one of his friend. We preached the gospel to the girls there telling them "Not to be troubled but to believe in Jesus - John 14:1". We also encouraged them to start sharing the gospel to customers. We believe the Lord can use these young women and this place mightily to unlock the hearts of many customers that come in to this Salon & Spa. We gave them some bibles and the challenge is to give them away to customers that respond.

It will be just great to watch and see what the Lord can do with this place.
  • Thank God for the gospel shared to the young women here.
  • Thank God for this Spa for opening up as a place which can sow the seed into troubled hearts.

Open door update - 15th Aug.

A 45 minute drive to Byramangala on Mysore road!

We thank the Lord for the open door in this village. We reached the place and found that the person, Mr Maria, who had opened his house up for us was out for a picnic with his family!

However, his uncle and aunt were at the place and invited us in to spend time with them. Bro Sunil went out to the streets to call people to come in by 4:00 PM and all responded with a "Yes", but no one turned up at 4:00 PM. Mr Maria's son, a commerce graduate, who was with us went out to call his friends. His call brought in around 7 to 8 boys who were excited! Bro Vinay taught them "Jesus loves me" and then we preached the gospel to them and to Mr Maria's uncle and aunt. We thank the Lord for one of the boys who took a decision to trust Jesus Christ. Everyone were excited to hear the gospel and we thank the Lord for this opportunity to proclaim the gospel as the hindu Gods watched from the photo frames hung on high!!

We pray that this house will turn and depend completely to the Lord Jesus Christ soon.. Asking the Lord to be with us as we plan to visit them again in a couple of weeks.
  • We thank the Lord for this family who has opened up their house to us
  • We thank the Lord for the boy (Ranjit) who took a decision to accept Jesus Christ.

Encouragement - Beware of thorns

Matthew 13:7 - "And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:"

Jesus constantly reminds us to "Beware of thorns"! As a growing Christian, the most dis-heartening thing would be to NOT produce fruit and to stay immature. Every Christian is called to bring forth fruit. Wherever we are or in whatever situation we are in, we need to be reminded to stay away from the cares and anxieties of this world. Make sure that they don't sting us too much and too often that we are burdened to not bring forth fruit. Take time today to reflect and spend time to bring forth fruit. Only the first step is the hard one .i.e, "Beware of thorns."

The Street E diaries - 8th Aug 2010

We met a co-laborer, Bro Ringai, whose heart the Lord had moved to come along with us to hit the streets. Exactly at the same time, the lord also prepared another "open heart" to hear the gospel, a friend of Bro Ringai's wife, who was at their place that day!
Later, we went out to the streets and waited at a department store. A market survey person came and asked us to help him. Bro Sunil shared the gospel with him in Kannada. Next, we proceeded to a park about 500 mtrs behind the department store. At this park, there were two young people, Gerald and Ganesh sitting and chatting with each other. We shared the gospel and they were over joyed. They responded but have not taken a decision yet. We presented a bible to Ganesh, we now hope to meet these young friends again to allow the word of God to sink into and soften their hearts, preparing them to receive the gospel.
  • We thank the Lord for adding Bro Ringai to co-labor with us.
  • We thank the Lord for the open hearts who were glad to hear.
